The team resides within Group Finance where uplifting our Sustainability Reporting will be key as we prepare to meet evolving reporting commitments and obligations. Environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities are becoming more and more relevant in today’s world, here at Macquarie we are no different. Macquarie produces a range of ESG reporting material and this team is responsible for ensuring Macquarie meets its rapidly evolving ESG data, analytical and reporting needs at both the global and subsidiary levels.

The team will be driving the development of platforms, systems and processes enabling insights and the delivery of our ESG future reporting, bringing our ESG agenda to life. Having experience in ESG, financial or regulatory reporting teams, with a passion for sustainability you will have the ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative and innovative culture.

**What impact will you have?**

In the first six months you will be play a leading role in uplifting our Sustainability reporting capability including evolving our sustainability reporting frameworks and processes to meet our future reporting obligations and commitments. You will use your ESG, financial or regulatory reporting knowledge to develop breadth and depth of expertise and demonstrate measurable value in leading the uplift of our reporting. You will liaise with our policy team to proactively plan for, and implement the adoption of developments in the Australian and international sustainability reporting and sustainable finance landscape and in particular in the jurisdictions we operate, including d the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Sustainability Disclosures

The team that will be part of will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Macquarie’s ESG reporting policies, systems, and processes enabling us to meet our strategic objectives in this space. You will lead and manage Macquarie’s annual ESG reporting process and external reporting disclosures in close collaboration with our Risk and Corporate Affairs teams. You will also be responsible for leading the production and delivery of key board reporting.

Your knowledge of reporting and controls frameworks will be leveraged to regularly engage and consult with business units, data and risk management teams and the senior leadership team. You will have the opportunity to utilise this experience in uplifting our capability improving the operational processes and at the same time provide advice to key stakeholders on the interpretation of ESG reporting requirements.

**What skills will you use?**
- Leadership skills building, empowering and motivating a diverse reporting team to meet evolving needs
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to distil complexity concisely and communicate with clarity to senior stakeholders within the Financial Management Group (FMG), the Risk Management Group (RMG) and the business.
- Ability to manage and prioritise competing priorities and meet both short, medium and long terms goals with effective planning and team support
- High attention to detail with an ability to work with large amounts of data
- Strong relationship building skills and stakeholder management skills
- Experience and ability working in a highly numerate and analytical environment
- Be bold, seeing challenges as opportunities that can be overcome, be curious, always asking, “What’s new,” and “How can we do this better” and be generous, working collaboratively across the group
- Experience in ESG reporting is considered favourably but not essential

You will work within FMG and across other Macquarie groups particularly the RMG when developing the uplifted ESG reporting policies and frameworks, as well as influencing the Operating Groups to ensure effective and efficient data sharing processes t
