**Your new role**

As a key member in the University Advancement team, the
**Development Executive** will support the
**Faculty of Health Sciences** by securing financial support from philanthropic and corporate sources to transform lives. This includes securing funding for scholarships, health and medical research, and for a student experience that helps produce the finest healthcare workforce possible.

The incumbent will focus on securing major gifts ($10k+ from individuals, organisations, and trusts and foundations) by building strong and mutually beneficial relationships with supporters. This requires an understanding of where the interests of particular donors and the University intersect for the benefit of students, research, and the global communities in which Curtin operates. The Development Executive will craft sophisticated funding proposals with persuasive value propositions that focus on Faculty priorities. This position will also coordinate and deliver events to increase engagement with alumni and stakeholders.

**In this role, you will**
- Identify, inspire, and cultivate suitable donors and corporates and seek their support through significant donations, sponsorships, and bequests.
- Develop creative, innovative and fundable propositions to meet and exceed annual fundraising goals.
- Create and implement effective stewardship strategies that allow you to build, maintain and strengthen relationships as you develop and oversee a portfolio of current and prospective donors.
- Effectively liaise with key internal stakeholders and manage project outcomes whilst providing clear updates on scope, budget, deliverables, and timelines for programs.
- Report all interactions and activities efficiently on our CRM fundraising software.
- Stay abreast of the health and medical research sectors and trends across Western Australia and beyond to perform and excel in your daily tasks.

**We are looking for someone with**

- A proactive mindset and the ability to identify and seek out opportunities that will align with the Faculty’s strategic vision and support the success of target achievement.
- Exceptional interpersonal and oral communication skills to liaise effectively with and influence a wide range of people at all levels both within and external to Curtin and an ability to build trusted and lasting industry partnerships and networks.
- High level writing and presentation skills with demonstrated experience in developing clear, concise, and professional proposals, reports, and other communication pieces.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and effectively within a large multifunctional team environment, and a drive to exceed results.
- Strong experience in major gifts fundraising, sales and/or business development, who is keen to support the transformative mission of higher education.

This opportunity would be well suited to someone who has a fundraising, business development, or entrepreneurial background. A working knowledge and understanding of the health sector and/or health and medical research and/or working within tertiary education is highly regarded.
