**About the Company**

Davidson are currently working with a state government client who are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team.

**About the Role**

As the Senior HR BP you will;
- Provide HR advice directly to leaders and employees, including support for workforce and capability planning, workforce profiling, recruitment and selection processes, HR policy interpretation, employee relations, change management, and learning and development matters.
- Work in close consultation with all areas of P&C to ensure seamless service delivery and appropriate involvement of specialist HR advisors for complex matters.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work proactively to understand the business operations and HR needs of the department.
- Provide an internal consultancy service to leaders and staff across the department, including:

- Prepare expert advice and advocacy for tribunals and commissions e.g. Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland, Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.
- Workforce and succession planning, assisting leaders and managers to understand their current and future workforce needs and plan accordingly.
- Performance and development planning, providing advice and support to managers and staff with their planning process and the identification of current and future skill development requirements.
- Workplace Health, Safety and Rehabilitation, provide advice, early intervention and case management advice and support.
- Undertake research and analysis to develop advice, policy and strategic documents relating to complex employment matters.
- Work in partnership with P&C colleagues to deliver seamless customer service and specific HR expertise when needed.
- Maintain knowledge of contemporary HR practices, seeking opportunities for improvements in line with business direction, with consideration of potential risks and legislative requirements.
- Produce, analyse and provide recommendations on workforce information to support workforce planning and effective establishment management practices.
- Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by modelling conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful, and ethical.
- Keeping yourself and others safe and well.

**Role fit**
- 4+ years’ experience as a Senior HR Generalist / Senior Advisor / Business Partner role, within the public sector.
- Experience in consultation and provision of advice to business leaders. Ability to coach, lead and educate leaders around good people practice.
- Knowledge of and experience in general employment law and HR best practice.
- Sound analytical, interpretive and problem-solving and dispute resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- While not mandatory, an undergraduate or higher degree qualification in Human Resource Management Discipline would be highly regarded.

**The Benefits**

Fixed Term Contract on the departments books with entitlements
Salary range of $88,173.60 - $94,155.20 plus 12.75% super (pro rata)
Brisbane city location with hybrid work arrangements
