Recruiters Kogan People Solutions are working with a significant manufacturer and supplier of products to the hospitality industry. Refrigeration fit-outs, Cool rooms, Display fridges and cold food displays are just some of the fine custom manufactured sheetmetal based products supplied by this busy firm to a wide range of customers. In addition, the firm enjoys a solid revenue stream providing design, consulting, and project management services to their customers. To ensure continued growth and the highest quality production standards, the company is now seeking a qualified experienced Sheetmetal Worker. Kogan People Solutions are assisting in the recruitment of the new Sheetmetal Worker.

The incumbent in the role of Sheetmetal worker will be responsible for completing quality sheet metal work utilised in the production of high quality goods.. The incumbent will attend to all tasks safely and effectively, utilising knowledge of materials and appropriate standards and will ensure that goodwill and best outcome for the business as at the core of each decision/behaviour the incumbent makes or undertakes when carrying out work for or on behalf of the business.

**Location** - Dandenong South Vic

**Tenure** - Full time ongoing

**Salary** - range $70,000 to $75,000 plus superannuation per annum

**Aim of the Role**
- To manufacture quality goods such refrigerators, cool rooms and display cases, and all other products, as directed by management.
- To use specialist knowledge and contribute to the development of the business and its growth plans
- To follow design instructions to deliver products to client expectations

**Scope of the Role**

The scope of this role encompasses making components and products sold by the business through joining Sheetmetal after carefully following client specifications and company design principles.

**Main Duties**

**The main duties of this role include**:

- To liaise with key management staff to ensure the most efficient production outcomes at all times
- To analyse blueprints drawings and specifications to understand the requirements for metals and other materials to be used and to determine confirmed job specifications
- Select the metal to be used and check that it meets the required specifications in terms of dimensions
- Mark out the sheetmetal using appropriate standards, tools and skills in order to cut or produce the necessary shape
- Using tools such as shears, guillotines and others to cut/ prepare metal to be shaped into pre-determined parts in order to make the final product
- Utilising machinery such as bending machines, hammers, rollers and others in order to ensure pre-determined parts are in accordance with specifications
- Assembling parts into final products and checking it meets specifications
- Finishing products by polishing, sanding and other agreed processes

**To be successfully considered applicants**:

- Offer verifiable experience in the sheetmetal trade
- Have at least 2-3 years trade experience gained since qualifications were earned
- Offer unrestricted Australian working rights
- Can communicate well across the team
- Are physically capable of discharging their duties to the highest standard
