**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Contribute to help Council deliver its sustainability goals.
- Undertake driving and labouring as directed within the Waste Collection Section

including:
o Domestic Bin repair / replacement.
- Deliver, repair, replace kerbside and public place bins.
- Deliver compost bins and worm farms
- Service inspections and audits
- Wheel out wheel back services
- Bin stickers and other communication deliveries
- Resident education / customer service
- Assistance with Booked waste collections
- Transport of damaged bins to recyclers

- Maintain basic service records as directed and report all incidents and service

irregularities.
- Clean, care for and undertake minor maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Follow safe working practices and report any unsafe plant, equipment or practices.
- Liaise with relevant staff to resolve problems and issues relating to the position.
- Ensure that all work is consistent with the goal of improving customer service.
- Act in other positions within the Waste Collection Team as required or directed.
- Ensure compliance with all business policies and procedures.
- Review and update all work procedures as directed and report on system failures.
- Integrate quality, environmental and safety performance into all functions and activities

undertaken.
- Continually review and improve work methods where related to this positions work

activities in regard to best practice in environmental, quality and WH&S.
**SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**

The position is required to work primarily at Springwood Operations Depot, Lawson Rd
Springwood and from Katoomba Works Depot as required - 06:00 to 2.15 pm.
Additionally, there is the requirement to work Public Holidays including Good Friday and
Christmas Day.

experience, or have not received appropriate instructions and training or where the correct

for the job, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions), and any personal
protective equipment, which the Council deems necessary and has provided; be safety
aware and report any actions to your line manager which will assist the Council to meet

team is essential to carry out the duties of the position**.

works to an established operational program.
