**Location - Parramatta**
**Employment type - Temporary Full-Time up to 12months with possibility of extension and made ongoing.**
**Salary - ($120,859 pa - $133,183 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading**
**Your role**
The Senior Communications and Engagement Officer will be responsible for leading the daily development of clear, engaging, effective and accessible communications for the NSW Anti-slavery Commissioner (Commissioner).
The Commissioner:
- monitors the effectiveness of legislation and policies to combat and address modern slavery;
- identifies and provides assistance and support to victims of modern slavery;
- makes recommendations and provides information, advice, education and training to prevent and provide remedy for instances of modern slavery;
- raises community awareness of modern slavery;
- monitors reporting concerning risks of modern slavery in public procurement; and
- collaborates with business, civil society and the research sector.
**What you’ll do**
In this role you will develop the Commissioner’s communications across a variety of formats, including social and traditional media, internal communications, sector and stakeholder engagements, including with people with lived experience. You will also be responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to develop specific projects..
**What we’re looking for**
In addition to the requirements, you’ll demonstrate:
- Substantial experience in management of complex communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives and projects
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing/communications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Proven experience in developing and implementing successful communication and engagement strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of social media and digital marketing trends
