**Position Overview**:We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Rouse Hill. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in managing the financial records and transactions for our clients. Your expertise in Xero will be crucial in ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial data, providing valuable insights, and supporting our clients in making informed financial decisions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and maintaining financial records
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely payment collection
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Conduct bank reconciliations and manage petty cash
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other financial documents
- Collaborate with clients and internal team members to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues
- Provide expert advice on bookkeeping best practices and help clients streamline their financial processes
- Stay updated with the latest accounting regulations and Xero software enhancements
- Support the team with ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as required

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in an accounting firm or similar environment
- Proficiency in Xero software is essential
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
- Sound knowledge of relevant accounting software and tools
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting or related field (desired but not mandatory)

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Rouse Hill, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Bookkeeping: 3 years (preferred)
- Xero: 3 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
