**Salary**:From $89,707 to $98,982 per annum, Grade 5-6, (excluding superannuation and leave loading)

You must be an Australian citizen to be eligible to work at the NSW Crime Commission.

**About the NSW Crime Commission**:
The NSW Crime Commission is established to investigate and disrupt organised crime and other serious criminal activity and to pursue confiscation of the proceeds of crime. The Commission is structured into a number of sections consisting of operational divisions, support teams and specialist units.

The Corporate and Enterprise Services Division is responsible for the delivery of a sustainable agency and includes supporting the core business of the Commission through the Office of the Commissioner, Technology Services, Finance and Facility Services, People and Culture, Governance and Audit. The division provides all security, facilities, finance, budget, procurement, HR, personnel security, governance, audit, ICT, IMT, strategy, planning, communications and ministerial liaison services to the Commission and other stakeholders.

**About the role**

The HR Personnel Security Officer role at the Commission has a dual focus on both human resources and personnel security vetting related functions. The successful applicant will work closely with the Intelligence Manager, Personnel Security and the People and Culture Manager to fulfill their responsibilities. The personnel security vetting related functions will allow you to utilise your strong research, analysis and assessment skills to explore the background and character of prospective Commission employees to determine their suitability for employment within a secure law-enforcement environment. Applicants should be aware that the personnel security vetting functions of this role are likely to take priority in the initial 6-12 months of employment due to the large volume of work envisaged.

The role will also have significant exposure to the Commission's People & Culture functions. You will have involvement in the coordination and administration of the recruitment and selection processes, providing HR guidance and advice to staff and prospective staff on employment related matters, promoting health and wellbeing programs, assisting with learning and development priorities and the administration of probation reviews and annual performance reviews.

**Security Vetting**

It is a condition of employment at the Commission that a member of staff obtain and maintain:
1. a security clearance issued by the Commissioner, and
2. a security clearance issued by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency that the Commissioner determines is
necessary for the position
