Based in our Rosebud office, After-Care’s gardening team supports people living in the City of Frankston, Mornington Peninsula and surrounding suburbs. We specialise in supporting older people or those with a disability to stay living in their own home and keep their garden and home well-maintained and safe.

Due to steady and ongoing demand for our services we are seeking Gardeners and Home Maintenance workers to join our growing team.

After-Care has operated as a successful family owned business for 23 years. Many of our Gardeners have been with us for 5 - 10 years and are still going strong. Regular ongoing hours of work available anywhere between 20 - 38 hours per week.

**What's involved?**
You will be using a lawn mower, small zero turn ride on mower, line trimmer, hedge trimmer and blower. Manual tasks include digging garden beds, spreading mulch, using a hand wheelbarrow, pruning, gutter cleaning, hand weeding and weed spraying.

**Skills and experience**

To be successful in this role, you must live on the Mornington Peninsula and be able to travel independently to Rosebud daily.

**Applicants need to demonstrate the following;**
- NDIS Worker's Screening Check
- Current First Aid
- Current Driver's Licence and safe driving record
- A kind and caring nature
- Available to work Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm (or longer occasionally)
- Good general health and physical fitness
- Well presented, mature, polite, keen and reliable
- Experience with most aspects of gardening
- Experience with operation of hand and powered gardening equipment
- Experience with care and basic maintenance of hand and powered gardening equipment
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

**Desirable**
- A qualification in horticulture, turf management, or landscaping.
- Experience with driving and operating light commercial vehicles towing a tandem axle 10' x 6' trailer.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 - 38 per week

**Salary**: From $26.08 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

COVID-19 considerations:
A minimum of 3 x COVID-19 vaccination doses is a requirement. All work is outdoors with limited exposure risks.

**Experience**:
