Mount Hospital are seeking CSSD Instrument Technicians for multiple positions within the hospital with permanent full-time, part-time and casual hours available.

**As the CSSD Instrument Technician your responsibilities will include**:

- Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
- Comply with AS/NZ standards 4187 2014, GENCA
- Operate, interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
- Report and document all quality activities
- Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes

**Selection Criteria**:

- Certificate III in Sterilising Services with at least 12 months' practical experience
- Genca Certification for processing flexible endoscopes desirable or willing to complete
- Sound understanding of the requirements of AS/NZS 4187 and the referenced Australian and international standards for processing reusable medical devices in health service organisations
- Good infection prevention and control practices and a clear understanding and able to demonstrate the principles of standard precautions including hand hygiene in daily routine practice
- Competent in all aspects of processing reusable medical devices safely and effectively
- Committed to maintaining currency in practical skills and knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to work well in a team as well as independently
- Able to prioritise, plan and take the initiative to respond to changes
