We are currently recruiting for a **permanent hedge trimmer**

Our Director Ryan has a deep passion for soccer, so we in turn have had some fun in how we talk about our organisational structure and culture around the rules of the game. To work for Modern Hedge you will need to be able to follow these rules and not go out of bounds or you may get a yellow card

We have our wonderful first point of contact with clients in the office, this is where the work is fed through to our midfield. On defence is our head honcho, he sees and reads all play coming _down_ the field and provides support and direction to you in the midfield. Finally, we have our goalie, if anything gets through her then things have gone south

A perk of this job is, you will never take your work home with you that stays at the factory each night. We need you to be hard working and have a can-do attitude, as our team is driven and always up for a new challenge Also being able to follow occupational health and safety rules is a must and of a high priority to our team.

At Modern Hedge we do a lot of team training and coaching. We have an amazing business coach who adds a lot of value to our team. This allows us to streamline the integration of new staff into our business and ensure everyone is on the same page with many things including communication. **Some of your plant
- based skills**:

- Trimming of hedges
- Height reduction of hedges
- Pruning of specialist trees
- Trimming of small to medium trees
- General garden maintenance work
- Lawn Mowing
- Edging
- Brush cutting / Whipper snipping
- Weed removal & weed management
- Safe operation and ongoing management of all machinery including chainsaws, hedgers, brush cutters, mowers etc.
- Soft landscaping

**Must haves**:

- Great communication skills with both clients and other team members
- Ability to tow a trailer responsibly
- Experiencing disposing of green waste at transfer station
- Ability to work autonomously & within a team environment
- Current manual drivers licence
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Reliability a must
- Desire to learn and grow with the business
- Accurate reporting in Job Management Tool, we use the ServiceM8 software package

**Experience**:

- 1-2 year’s hedge trimming experience
- Chainsaw licence a benefit
- Working at heights a benefit

**We need you to be**:

- Be driven and have a high level of self motivation
- Work well in a team environment and autonomously
- Be confident in speaking with clients whilst on site
- Pay high attention to detail and take pride in your work
