**THE PROJECT**

The Djilang Alliance, comprising of DT Infrastructure, McConnell Dowell, Arup and WSP Australia, has been selected as the preferred contractor for the South Geelong to Waurn Ponds Duplication.

**With a completion date targeted for 2024, the project will include**:

- Duplicating around eight kilometres of track between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds
- Rebuilding South Geelong and Marshall stations featuring new station buildings and forecourts, second platforms and accessible pedestrian overpasses
- Removal of the level crossings at Fyans Street and Surf Coast Highway and replaced with elevated rail bridges
- Signalling upgrades between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds
- More than five kilometres of new shared user paths linking to existing trails and paths and creating a continuous connection between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds.

**THE ROLE**

The Djilang Alliance are seeking an experienced **Rail Safety Advisor **to support delivery the rail safety strategy, governance, oversight and continuous improvement in all aspects of rail safety management (Rail Safety National Law compliance).

Reporting to the Rail Safety Manager, you will be based on-site at South Geelong with working from home flexibility. This is a permanent full-time position with ongoing project and career development opportunities.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Build and maintain close working relationship with Occupation/Access Teams, to meet project objectives
- Provide advice on rail safety legislation and regulation, practices, and procedures within the delivery of the project
- Support the implementation and auditing of processes to manage the rail safety requirements in accordance with the National Rail Safety Law
- Ensure all work in the rail corridor is compliant with the RTO procedures
- Provide clarification and interpretation on safe working rules
- Conduct/facilitate investigation of Rail Safety incidents and the implementation of agreed corrective actions

**ABOUT YOU**
- Current Track Force Protection Coordinator 3.3 Qualification
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role preferably within multi-site construction, transport or engineering industries
- Proven experience working to tight time frames in a changing environment, work under pressure and manage stakeholder expectations
- Outcome focused, hands on, and operational, with good technical capability
- Self-motivated and possessing good planning skills demonstrating high attention to detail
- Able to build solid understanding of the business priorities to deliver a high standard of effective and integrated solutions
