The Food, Wine and Agribusiness, Green Economy and Tourism Sector team is a priority sector in the Department for Trade and Investment. The sector team of experienced trade and investment specialists focuses on growing exports and attracting international investment to maximise the economic value in these state priority sectors.

**The Role**:

Working across the Food, Wine and Agribusiness, Grenn Economy and Tourism team, the Business Coordinator is responsible for delivering a range of high-level customer-focussed business, administrative and organisational support services for their assigned function.

This role is required to develop a sound understanding of multiple stakeholders’ perspectives, and ensure all interactions reflect a diplomatic and politically astute approach.

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate capabilities across the following key areas:

- Provide exceptional customer service to key high-level internal and external stakeholders to ensure responsiveness with the aim to meet timeframes.
- Responsible for the records management training and procedures pertaining to Ministerial and Executive briefings.
- Coordinate and prepare ministerial correspondences.
- Support with the internal and external coordination of Directorate/Sector events related to key projects.
- Coordinate and provide responsive business, administrative and organisational support services in a professional, efficient and effective manner, including coordinating internal/external meeting agendas, follow-up actions, diary coordination etc.
- Provide support to the coordination of travel bookings.
- Undertake research in a timely and thorough manner and prepare correspondence, reports and briefings.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and document management to comply with agency and government policies.
- Undertake minor projects including contributing to a continuous improvement environment through regularly reviewing activities, procedures and practices to ensure requirements are met and improvements are identified and actioned.

**Desirable Qualification**:

- Certificate level qualification in a field relevant to the position, and/or substantial relevant professional experience.

**Special Conditions**
- Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
