===Job Summary===
The International Marketing Specialist will design and lead GBC's international marketing strategy and other marketing-related activities. Additionally, the specialist will support Sales in the field by participating in industry conferences, conducting product training, and executing marketing research. The specialist will work with Production, Sales, Quality and Service, and Finance to identify areas of improvement by analyzing GBC past sales and other KPIs. This position will require extensive travel.

Founded in 1978, GBC Scientific Equipment Pty Ltd designs, manufactures and markets a range of analytical instruments, including Absorption Spectrometer (AAS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES), UV-Visible Spectrophotometers (UV-Vis), Inductively Coupled Plasma Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer (ICP-oTOFMS), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and X-ray Diffractometer (XRD). GBC is an international organization which sells in over 100 countries. Over 40 years after inception, GBC is world renowned in the field elemental analysis field as a result of its quality products and services.

===Responsibilities===

1. Implement a digital marketing strategy to increase international brand awareness and manage customer and distributor expectations.
3. Cooperate with Chinese partners on a regular basis to translate and edit technical and marketing literature, including product specifications, user guides, installation manuals, brochures and website.
4. Assist sales personnel and distributors by conducting market research, participating in trade events and exhibitions, attending sales meetings and providing tender documentation.
5. Identify and develop sales opportunities in emerging international markets.
6. Gather and evaluate customer feedback and liaise with Research and Development on matters relating to product features.
7. Develop a distributor feedback survey and liaise with Quality and Service personnel on matters relating to product performance in the field.
8. Create product pricing plan for products developed by GBC and its Chinese partner.
9. Analyse GBC past sales data for opportunities to increase revenue and/or save cost.
10. Participate in regular meetings regarding Production, Sales, Quality and Service, and Finance as a cross-functional representative for Sales and Marketing.
11. Conduct product and sales training and other presentations.

===Qualifications===
1. Tertiary qualifications in Business or equivalent experience
2. 5+ years experience in digital marketing, data analysis, and/or sales
3. Reading and speaking proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin)
4. Capacity and willingness to travel extensively
5. Knowledge of SQL, SAS, and/or SPSS
6. Knowledge of Python and/or R
