**About the Role**
- Full Time On Site Permanent Position
- Based in Sydney CBD
- We are looking for a self-directed and highly motivated Accounting Supervisor to join our accounting and tax team.

**Role Responsibilities**
- **1. Tax, Investment & Financial Statements **_
- Prepare compliance documentation for clients as directed, including, but not limited to Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements and FBT returns
- Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts for clients as directed
- Analyse and liaise with the Senior Managers on issues that arise during the preparation of compliance documentation
- Liaise with the investment team to ensure the agreed investment strategy for clients is implemented
- Provide client specific information to the investment team to assist them in providing appropriate investment recommendations
- **2. Business Performance Monitoring **_
- Assist with preparation of quarterly Board meeting documents when required
- Prepare cashflows and budgets for clients
- **3. Stakeholder Management**_
- Provide a holistic professional financial service to each client that exceeds expectations
- Provide support to the Senior Managers in the delivery of exceptional client service
- Liaise directly with external stakeholders including clients, external auditors and the ATO
- Coach/mentor Junior Accountants to assist in their development
- Ensure that relevant information is communicated to Junior Accountants to allow them to effectively carry out their duties
- Contribute to performance reviews within set timeframes as required
- Ensure that any delegated work is appropriate in terms of the skills, abilities and workload of junior team members
- Provide technical support and knowledge to junior team members

- Assist the Senior Managers and CEFO with tasks as directed, including special projects as agreed

**Skills and Experience**
- 5 + years accounting experience in a similar role, such as within a chartered accounting firM/Family office
- Minimum 1 years experience reviewing work of juniors
- Relevant tertiary academic qualifications and CA qualified
- Experience with _**BGL Superfund, Business Fitness, Reportance, HandiTax**_ and _**FundCount**_ is _**highly desirable**_.
- Understanding of accounting standards, cashflow requirements, self-managed super funds and an understanding of accounting standards and tax rulings as they relate to the work undertaken
- A basic understanding of investment asset classes and the relationship between risk, return and cashflow
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation and across functions, with a strong focus on collaboration
- High level of professionalism when supporting clients
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- High level of enthusiasm and self-motivation, with ability to prioritise competing tasks, work independently and manage time.
- Ability to train and mentor junior team members
