We are currently looking for
**Talent Acquisition Officer** on a temporary basis working preferably
**$45.00 per hour.** The tenure will be for approximately for
**3 months** and we are looking for an
**immediate start.**

**Role Purpose**:
In consultation with the Coordinator Human Resources effectively undertake the day-to-day operations of the Recruitment function and provide an effective and professional consultancy service to the City’s employee’s and external stakeholders to ensure organizational goals and objectives are achieved.

**Key accountabilities**:

- In consultation with the Coordinator Human Resources, co-ordinate the end-to-end recruitment process (source, screen, interview, offer, induct), ensuring the process meets organizational and legislative requirements and any emerging issues or trends are referred for investigation and action as appropriate.
- Place advertisements on behalf of the City, using appropriate systems.
- In consultation with the Coordinator Human Resources ensure Job Description Forms are updated as required and accurately reflect the job requirements of the relevant position.
- Act as the first point of contact providing employee services support to employees on day-to-day issues and enquiries providing technical and professional support about recruitment related matters as required.
- Facilitate Traineeship and Apprenticeship recruitment and selection, including identifying appropriate providers and available funding opportunities as required.
- Liaise with the Coordinator Human Resources and other stakeholders as appropriate, on the day-to-day management and administration of the Department’s on-line HR system (Aurion - Recruitment, Training, E-Learning), including upgrades, testing, modifications, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Provide employees with the training and support required to effectively utilize the Human Resources modules and on-line learning systems.
- Undertake the day-to-day human resource functions to ensure employees and managers are able to meet their personal and operational objectives and requirements, including but not limited to:

- Recruitment and selection
- Inductions
- Employee Probations
- Temporary employment contracts
- Studies Assistance Program
- Employee Recognition Program
- Salary Reviews
- Exit Interviews
- Work experience placements
- Purchase orders
- Job descriptions
- Actively seek and report on methods of improving systems of work, policies and practices, to ensure the continuous improvement of the City’s Business Management System.
- Undertake other duties as directed by the Coordinator Human Resources within the scope and level of this position.

**Requirements of the Job**:

- Previous relevant experience of end to end recruitment (source, screen, interview, offer, induct) across white and blue collar roles within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Previous experience or exposure to employee learning and development.
- Previous relevant experience in the Human Resources field within a multidisciplinary environment with an appreciation of contemporary Human Resource Management issues.
- Completion of, or progress towards, a relevant qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of HR Information systems.
- A good working knowledge and understanding of applicable current Federal and State legislative requirements (e.g. Fair Work Act, Equal Employment Opportunity, Industrial Awards).
- Highly developed interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate with and motivate a wide range of people and groups to achieve agreed results and outcomes and ensure delivery of a high level of customer service.
