The **Risk, Strategy and Customer Support Division** within Service NSW brings focus and co-ordination to:
1.Risk, business continuity, privacy and compliance management
2.Organisational strategy, performance measurement and middle office
3.Grants administration and outbound payments
4.Audits and resulting actions
5.Fraud prevention and information governance
6.Social Impact and engagement

**About the role**

SNSW Risk Resilience and Privacy team drives Risk, Privacy and Compliance management throughout the agency. We are currently looking for a WHS Risk Manager with strong expertise in work health and safety risk management to join the team.

You will be expected to take a “fresh eyes” approach to your role, bringing a commitment to the principles of good governance, along with the creativity and open-mindedness to embed these principles in ways that supports Service NSW.

On a day-to-day basis you will contribute to the management and delivery of your team to support the business in mitigating and controlling WHS risk exposures. You will lead and manage your team to deliver a WHS risk program working closely with key stakeholders to uplift and embed best practice WHS risk management across the agency. You will be responsible for driving the team’s priorities and transformation across the agency to improve awareness, capability, and cultural uplift through the WHS risk program.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Lead WHS risk program of works to address current gaps and continuously improve WHS systems to ensure compliance with organisational strategy and legislative requirements.
- Ensure the successful implementation of a WHS risk program of work to mitigate and reduce the WHS risk exposure in SNSW.
- Promote and drive cultural change and work with key stakeholders across SNSW divisions to embed WHS practices
- Provide strategic and operational advice to ensure continuous improvement and reduce risk in relation to WHS policy, projects and initiatives.
- Provide a range of detailed planned and/or adhoc reports (that identifying insights and trends, monitor and evaluates) on the implementation of WHS risk program to SNSW executive and committees.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

- Strong experience in providing Work Health & Safety (WHS) advice and recommending strategy
- Strong experience and demonstrated knowledge of WHS.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus with the ability to provide support in a professional manner
- Ability to work with a diverse team
- Strong analytical, organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication both verbal and written skills, report writing, documentation and presentation skills
- Passion and enthusiasm in driving strong safety culture
