**About the Role**:
This position is available at our Wallaroo Day Option location. It is a casual position that involves working Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm, with the expectation of working on Saturdays once a month. As part of this role, you will engage in a variety of activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, and community engagement. Your primary focus will be on assisting our clients achieve their goals and develop new skills in a supportive and positive environment.

Other responsibilities include:

- providing 1:1 or 1:3 support
- supporting clients to achieve their NDIS goals
- completing progress reports and report incidents
- working with clients to promote individual choice and control
- providing transport to clients as required
- maintaining a duty of care for clients, other staff, and yourself

**About You**:
You will be a qualified support worker with knowledge of the _NDIS Practice Standards, Code of Conduct_ and _Quality and Safeguarding Framework_. You will share the Bedford values and have a genuine passion for working with people with disability to achieve their goals. As a bonus, if you have a hobby, skill, or talent you could have an opportunity to share that with our clients.

Other skills and qualifications include:

- a minimum Certificate III in Disability (or equivalent)
- current First Aid and CPR certification
- current Driver’s Licence
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- the ability to do with and not for

For this role the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford Phoenix Incorporated:

- an acceptable clearance to work in the disability sector (DHS / DCSI / NDIS)
- a National Police Clearance (no older than 6 months)
- evidence of right to work in Australia
