Mosart / Vis Rt Technician

This is an exciting opportunity to work in live television news designing, developing and implementing software-based broadcast solutions. You will work in our automation team alongside engineering and technical staff to develop innovative solutions to improve the quality of our on-air content.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Work in the Sky News Vizrt automation team to design, implement and maintain Viz Artist and Viz Mosart templates, processes, and workflows to improve on-air quality
- Meet the daily automation requirements for Sky News, Fox Sports News, Sky News Weather, Sky News REGIONAL and Sky News EXTRA
- Automate news and program rundowns for new and existing shows
- Communicate and collaborate with the editorial, operations and graphics departments to produce high quality outcomes and meet project deadlines
- Maintain in-depth industry knowledge of broadcast automation tools and make recommendations to the Automation Manager on best practice and investment
- Train editorial and operations staff in automation techniques and oversee quality control
- Make recommendations to the Graphics team and other technical teams for streamlining workflows and processes
- Identify opportunities to automate manual, repetitive, non-creative tasks across all departments

***Skills and Experience**
- Given the pivotal nature of this role to any 24-hour live news multi-camera production, the successful applicant will need wide experience in the implementation of broadcast design solutions.
- Previous broadcast experience is essential
- Detailed Knowledge of Vizrt Mosart automation systems
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to act quickly and calmly in an on-air emergency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly develop creative solutions and be capable of forming productive
