**About Us**
- Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean and Blue Mountains and Lithgow Region.
The Contract Management and Procurement Unit leads the provision of effective management of procurement governance and services within the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. The team ensures the successful implementation of procurement planning processes and procedures including the provision of training and education to key stakeholders.
Reporting to the Associate Director Business Improvement Programs & Governance, the Contracts and Procurement Manager will provide sound strategic advice regarding Contract and Procurement Management initiatives. The position is responsible for reporting the review, rationalisation, and direction of the initiatives to the Associate Director Business Improvement Programs & Governance, NSW Ministry of Health, district Executives, and the NBMLHD Finance, Performance & Planning Committee.
Through effective leadership and engagement, the position will enable the district to achieve NSW Health Procurement Reform objectives. Key to the success involves significant partnering, interaction, and cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.

**What you will bring to the role**:
- Relevant Degree/tertiary qualifications such as in Management, Law or Health related
- Demonstrated experience in a complex procurement environment and demonstrated success in building and leading contract and procurement teams
- Demonstrated experience in cultural change management in a diverse industry coupled with demonstrated ability to manage and lead change
- High level communication, analytical, consultation and negotiation skills to achieve strategic outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate internal and external stakeholders across geographically dispersed boundaries
- Experience in managing and coordinating the activities of a diverse team to ensure the delivery of high quality Business Support services combined with a sound knowledge of human resource management issues at a broad and specific level with reference to Work Place Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination
- Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving distances with the LHD in support of the delivery of training and education delivery
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
