Early Learning Association Australia (ELAA) is a not-for-profit membership association supporting over 1350 early childhood education and care services to deliver our vision of excellence and equity in early childhood education and care. We advocate, lead, and influence all levels of Government for policy, funding, and regulatory arrangements that deliver quality and sustainable outcomes for our members and the early childhood education and care sector.

**Hours of Work of the Role**

0.8FTE

**Description**
- 0.8FTE, commencing mid-January 2024
- Hybrid work environment with office in CBD
- Salary Range: $80,000 to $85,000 (pro-rata), plus superannuation

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establish and maintain relationships with both new and existing members, other service providers, key stakeholders and ELAA partner organisations, regulatory bodies and interest groups
- Contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality professional development programs for members and other early childhood service provider
- Conduct payroll calculations for members and take a proactive approach in supporting the accuracy and timeliness of these functions
- Maintain accurate data and records of advice and support in ELAA’s CRM system
- Contribute to scoping and delivery of ELAA consultancy services to members and other providers as required.

**Qualifications**

**Essential**
- A background in either Early Childhood Education and Care, Human Resources or payroll
- A client-focused and personable phone manner, with experience liaising with employees or stakeholders
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication
- Permanent residency in Australia with no restrictions
- Willingness and ability to expand knowledge and skill base

**Desirable**
- Understanding of current legislation and/or employment framework that governs early childhood service providers and incorporated associations / EYMs
- General understanding of employment legislation, industrial agreements and awards that govern early childhood education and care in Victoria, including the Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement (VECTEA)
- Ability to effectively communicate advice for employee matters (or willingness to learn)
- Understanding of National Quality Framework, Kindergarten Funding Guidelines, Childcare Subsidy, Portable Long Service Leave Scheme and other relevant information
- Current policy and practice, including Best Start, Best Life reform and the Victorian Early Year Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF)
