Metallurgical and Material Technician

Due to demand and ongoing long-term contracts, we are looking for Multidiscipline NDT Technician for our operations in Brisbane (Hemmant) QLD.

Position requires inspection roles working on Ultrasonic, Industrial Radiography, Magnetic Particle and Penetrant Testing on a day to day basis.

Essential Criteria:
ASNT or AINDT Level II in Radiography/Interpretation, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant

CSWIP 3.1 and NACE Level II will be an advantage
Must have minimum 4-5 years of experience in above mentioned disciplines
Good communication and interpersonal skills
An understanding and commitment to OHSE

Responsibilities for the role:
Develop or use new non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as acoustic emission testing, leak testing, and thermal or infrared testing.

Conduct Liquid Penetrant & Magnetic Particle Test for surface breaking effects working on Ultrasonic, Industrial Radiography, Magnetic Particle and Penetrant Testing on a day to day basis.

Interpret the results of all methods of non-destructive testing such as leak detection, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, neutron radiographic, radiographic, ultrasonic, and visual testing.

Select, calibrate, or operate convention and advance equipment’s used in the non-destructive testing of products or materials.

Examine structures of trains track, process equipment’s, bridges, dams, and pipelines using Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques.

**Experience**:
RT/UT/MT/PT/ECT: 4-5 years

Remuneration:
$60,000 to $65,000 per annum + 10% superannuation, Public Holidays, Annual Leave, Long Service Leave. Incentive bonuses. Annual increments as to employee work KPI's.
