ARL is currently looking for a Welding Inspector / NDT technician.
**Main Tasks**:
- Execute the field welding inspection, surveillance, and Quality Control activities on site.
- Execute the specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site as per quality plan and ITPs.
- Ensure that welding operations task are executed in accordance with all relevant Codes and Standards and Subsidiaries procedures Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test Plans.
- To prepare and review welding procedure specifications (WPS) and carry out performance qualification testing of welders.
- Perform and assist for thickness testing, dye-penetrant testing magnetic particle testing, provide assistance in performing radiography testing.
- Compile quality assurance records and ensure qualification records are maintained and managed.
- Ensure safe work practices by following site safety rules & procedure all the time.
- Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires.
**Requirements**:
- Must have over 3 years of related work experience. Relevant Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred.
- Diploma in Welding (preferred) or Materials/Metallurgical/Mechanical.Must have TWI-CSWIP or AWS-CWI certification.
- Qualification in UT, MT, PT AINDT/ASNT/PCN or SNT-TC-1A level 1 or 2.
- Sound understanding of relevant parts of AS 1554, AWS D1.1, ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3 and other construction codes and standards.
- Experience in writing technical QA/QC reports.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) will be an advantage.
- Sound communication skills.
**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
