- Indicative Total Remuneration: $359,094 - $608,425 (pro rata, Subject to Private Practice Arrangements) MDO2 | 15 hours p.w. Ongoing from April 2024

**Lead positive patient outcomes within our Cardiology Service in an Ongoing role with SALHN**

The Cardiology Department at Flinders Medical Centre is widely recognised for its commitment to high quality state-of-the-art evidence based practice linked to a strong academic program incorporating clinical trials and innovative interventions in clinical cardiology.

**About the Role**:
As a Cardiology Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive cardiac care services at Noarlunga and Flinders Medical Centre, with a specific focus on **interventional cardiology**. Your **responsibilities** will include:

- Deliver comprehensive cardiac care services to patients, including inpatient ward work, interventional and structural procedural work, ambulatory care and provision of on-call services.
- Contribute to the education of both undergraduate and postgraduate medical professionals.
- Provide outreach services to regions in country South Australia and the Northern Territory, extending the reach of cardiac care to underserved areas.
- Undertaking administrative tasks related to cardiac services.
- Initiating and contributing to research projects.
- Engage in professional and community service activities, fostering positive relationships with the community and healthcare stakeholders.

To be **successful** in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated expertise in the area of interventional cardiology and the management of other cardiac conditions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the following aspects of interventional cardiology:

- Trans-catheter aortic valve replacement
- Percutaneous mitral valve interventions
- Complex coronary interventions including intra-vascular imaging
- Demonstrated academic involvement and publications
- Strong commitment to professional leadership and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
