**About the role**
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Specialist in Risk and Assurance. In this role, you will play a crucial part in conducting risk and assurance activities for our group. Your responsibilities will include performing internal audits and compliance reviews on legislative obligations, standards, and internal processes and procedures.
As part of the Risk and Assurance team, you will contribute to the maintenance of our Risk Management Framework.
This position is based at our CBH Head Office, with travel to our operational sites within WA to conduct scheduled audits.
**Working in the Risk and Assurance team, key accountabilities of the role include**:
- Leading a diverse team across Safety, Operations, and Head Office in conducting Integrated Management System reviews. Your aim will be to standardize and streamline HSEQ processes throughout our network. Additionally, you will prepare comprehensive management and Board reports, highlighting findings and improvement opportunities.- Performing internal audits to ensure compliance with certifications such as ISO9001, 140001, HACCP, and Heavy Vehicle Accreditations.- Conducting periodic reviews of processes across the group to drive continuous improvement.- Supporting the Senior Specialist in Risk with the administration of our enterprise risk management framework.
**To excel in this role, we are looking for someone who brings**:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in an HSEQ, Quality Management Systems, or risk-related role.- Experience in performing external or internal audits.- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and facilitating risk workshops.- Strong organizational, planning, analytical, and lateral problem-solving abilities.- The ability to manage cross-functional process issues and expedite resolutions.- Highly developed verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.- Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and workshops effectively.
**The following qualifications and experience would be beneficial to the role**:
- ISO 9001/14001, ISO31000:2018, HACCP, and/or AS 4801/45000 Lead Auditor Training.- A degree or diploma in Commerce/Business-related discipline, External Auditing, Internal Auditing, Risk Management, or Occupational Health and Safety.- Experience in food safety, rail safety, heavy vehicle operations, port security, and dangerous goods.
