The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a State Control Centre Support Team Coordinator to ensure the efficacy and efficiency of SCC systems and process and manage rosters and operational shifts in line with resource requirements.

**About the Business Unit**

Emergency Management Victoria (EMV) leads emergency management in Victoria by working with government, agencies and business to strengthen their capacity to withstand, plan for, respond to and recover from emergencies. EMV is a statutory entity and is part of the Department of Justice & Community Safety (the Department). The Department, through the Secretary, employs EMV staff and provides corporate functions to EMV. EMV is led jointly by the Chief Executive (CE) and the Emergency Management Commissioner (EMC).

The purpose of the Operational Coordination business unit is to lead the emergency operational coordination in Victoria by working with communities, government, agencies and business to strengthen their capacity to withstand, plan for, respond to and recover from emergencies.

**About the Role**
- Provide high quality supervision, mentoring and performance management of the SCC Support Officers within the SCC;
- Build and maintain a high performing, flexible and committed team of Support professionals that deliver against all of the SCC requirements;
- Coordinate and in some cases deliver face-to-face and on-the-job training, including ongoing skills maintenance for SCC Support staff and agency personnel, in the operation and functions of the SCC, including relevant response agency systems and processes;

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated knowledge of Victoria's emergency management arrangements is desirable;
- Demonstrated experience with coordination within emergency management activities is desirable;
- Experience managing a team in a 24 x 7 shift environment.
