BeneTerra is a niche environmental service provider, solving complex environmental problems for clients in Australia and New Zealand using our BeneVap submerged combustion technology to reduce GHG emissions and leachate volume at landfills.

We are currently looking for an Electrical Instrument Technician (BeneVap Technician) to join our team at our Crowley Vale workshop. Being a part of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in BeneTerra’s mission to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients, offering vital electrical and instrumentation support, while putting an environmentally conscious approach first.

**The Role**
As a BeneVap Technician, you will be responsible for the testing, fault diagnosing and maintenance of our industry changing BeneVap equipment to ensure that the equipment and site processes meet safety and environmental regulations.

The position generally works Monday to Friday with flexible working hours, and is based at our Crowley Vale workshop.

As a crucial member of the BeneTerra team, your role will involve:

- Conducting servicing,, troubleshooting and repair of a wide range of scientific equipment and complex instrumentation associated with the BeneVap technology;
- Design, program, operate, repair, and maintain PLC systems (Panasonic);
- Attend to breakdowns when needed (often handled remotely);
- Conduct all work with an environmentally friendly approach;
- Engaging in other maintenance activities from time to time;.
- Liaise with clients and third-party contacts;
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation in accordance with workshop guidelines;
- Support the team with the design and continuous improvement of our niche technologies.

**About You**

- Qualifications/studying a trade or engineering applicable to electrical instruments with a minimum of 2 years’ instrumentation experience;
- Demonstrated technical skills with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair down to the component level of a wide range of instrumentation, comms equipment and 12v electrical components;
- Experience with PLC systems (any brand);
- Sound understanding of good workshop practices and strong commitment to safe working practices;
- Be physically fit and healthy, and able to complete work occasionally in isolated or remote outdoor locations;
- Capable of occasionally driving long distances and availability to travel when required;
- Demonstrated commitment to a high standard of customer service, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to engage effectively, in writing and in person;
- Computer literacy (working with electronic documents, apps, spreadsheets);
- Open driver’s license and passport.
- Covid-19 vaccination;
- First aid, WAH, EWP, Confined Space and White Card are desirable but not essential.
