**About the organisation**
As the environmental regulator, EPA Victoria works on behalf of all Victorians to protect the health and wellbeing of Victoria’s communities and environment from the harmful effects of pollution and waste. A values and purpose-driven organisation, the EPA has been through an extensive transformation program and as a preventative regulator, they are underpinned by comprehensive new legislation that commenced 1 July 2021.

**About the role**
Reporting to the Director, Business Strategy and Operations, and following an organisational-wide transformation program, the role is responsible for building the business partnering model within the EPA, establishing policies and procedures and leading a new Finance Business Partnering team (3 FTE). Providing expert financial management services and support across the EPA and driving continuous improvement in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and management, you will continue to evolve processes and systems in this space following the implementation of a new ERP. As a member of the senior management team, you will contribute to operational strategy and direction, upskilling employees to improve overall financial management competency, proactively building a positive culture, leading the team in strategic relationships and partnerships and supporting the achievement of regulatory excellence and priority outcomes to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.

**About you**
CPA/CA (or equivalent) with a proven record of achievement in, and a passion for, budgeting and forecasting, financial planning and analysis, you will have the capability to drive high performance and a positive organisational culture. Ideally you will bring knowledge of Victorian Government budget and financial management legislation, policies and processes but it is your people focus, “roll-your-sleeves-up” attitude and demonstrated ability to adapt your leadership approach to the needs of a diverse team that will be key to your success. With an innate ability to build strong relationships, engage teams and drive process improvements, you are proactive, transparent and collaborative in your approach and will enjoy contributing to projects and supporting the delivery of quality outcomes.
