**Position Information**:
Greystanes Public School provides a friendly and welcoming environment with strong community partnerships. The school has an enrolment of 549 students, including 72% from a non-English speaking background. It is a dynamic school that features a dedicated team of experienced educators who are committed to supporting students' learning and wellbeing through collaborative and evidence-based practice. The school culture fosters ongoing professional development, with current priorities focused on Literacy, Numeracy, and Engaging Connections. Two Opportunity Classes (OC) for high potential and gifted students in Year 5 and 6 are based at the school and numerous opportunities are provided for students to participate in creative, performing and sporting activities. The school is strongly supported by an active parent body. Recent upgrades to our learning environment have delivered an additional 24 permanent learning spaces that support innovative learning where students can maximise their potential.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with demonstrated excellence in the use of student assessment data to devise and implement high quality and explicit literacy and numeracy programs to maximise student growth.
- Experience and/or skills in developing a differentiated curriculum that caters for high potential and gifted students, with proven ability to develop, co-ordinate and implement extracurricular programs, including public speaking and debating.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a positive and inclusive learning environment with a thorough understanding of effective behaviour management strategies that enhance student engagement, wellbeing and learning outcomes.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and proactively with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
