**About The Smash Room**:
The Smash Room is an exciting new concept where fun meets destruction Our unique venue provides an unforgettable experience for customers by allowing them to break, smash, and demolish items in a safe environment. As a fast-growing entertainment destination, we are excited to announce the opening of our upcoming location.

**About The Role**:
We are seeking a fun, dynamic and experienced Manager to oversee the operations of our Moorabbin location. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Venue Manager will be responsible for all aspects of venue operations, ensuring excellent customer service, enforcing safety protocols, and leading a team through the support of a 2IC, and junior casual and part-time staff.
With up to 450 customers per week, this is a fast-paced environment that requires you to pull up your sleeves and actively undertake any task that's required.

**Main Duties**:

- Lead by example by being a hands-on and motivating manager.
- Working from Thursday to Monday, you will mainly work afternoons and weekends.
- Oversee all daily operations, including opening and closing of the venue.
- Ensure the venue is clean, organised, and well-maintained.
- Adhere to and enforce operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Create and oversee staff rosters as per wage budget.
- Hire, interview, and train staff.
- Foster a positive workplace environment.
- Ensure safety equipment is clean, functional, and readily available for customers.
- Complete ad-hoc tasks and complete required errands.
- Maintain open and effective communication with head office.
- Oversee the collection routes for the delivery drivers who obtain smashable items.
- Responsible for all employees' and contractors' performance and success.
- Monitor and manage any maintenance and repairs.

**About You**:

- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a hospitality or entertainment setting.
- Proven track record of leading successful teams and delivering excellent customer service.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Understands that being the venue manager means being responsible for all aspects.
- Positive attitude.
- Experience with adhering to budgets.
- You either have, or will obtain a Working with Children Check.
