**Role Description/Criteria**

MacKillop is a Catholic Coeducational Secondary College with two campuses inspired by the spirit of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. **Learning Diversity Leader (POL 2)**

MacKillop acknowledges that each student is a unique individual. Many students have individual needs that require attention on the journey along the learning continuum. The Individualised Learning Program complements the pastoral care and curriculum offered at the College to enable each student to experience success and growth in their learning. For some students, curriculum programs may be altered to create a positive learning environment to meet individual needs.

The Learning Diversity Leader supports students who require an altered learning program or who are funded to receive support for their individual needs.

The role of the Learning Diversity Leader is to:

- develop and routinely update Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs) incorporating Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs), Literacy and Numeracy
- work as part of the Colleges’ National Consistent Collection Data (NCCD) Team to provide data for submission
- collect relevant data and report on Literacy and Numeracy performance
- target individual students identified as requiring Literacy and/or Numeracy support and coordinate relevant ILPs
- coordinate programs and strategies that address the needs of individual students and classroom structures
- in collaboration with the Learning and Teaching Team and Learning Diversity Team, assist and guide teachers to implement ILPs and PLPs for those students who require a modified learning program or who are funded for their individual needs
- convene Program Support Group (PSG) meetings
- review all ILPs at the beginning of each semester for students completing a modified learning program or who are funded for their individual needs
- assist teaching staff in developing their professional knowledge and understanding for students who require an altered learning program or who are funded for their individual needs
- maintain and update information in SEQTA to ensure it is current and relevant
- ensure the appropriate storage and security of documents to maintain student confidentiality

This position, commencing in 2024, is of 3-year tenure with the successful applicants securing full-time permanent status. All Positions will include a teaching component in the method areas of the successful applicant.
