Based at out Melbourne CBD location are currently seeking an **Assistant Account Manager **to join our Sales team.

**The Role**
This role reports directly to the Sales Manager and key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative sales support to National sales team and be available for the Customer Service and Supply Chain teams to ensure that our sales transactions are optimised
- Telephone based management of prescribed territory for small to medium accounts to achieve agreed budgeted sales targets
- Identification of profit improvement opportunities within the existing territory and potential new business development activity
- First point of call for current small to medium sized customers & prospect to provide non-List Price quotes.
- Maintaining a strong open relationship with all customers to ensure that the business is recognised as the best provider and seen as the supplier of choice
- Face to Face account management for designated customer base
- Supporting the Customer Service and Supply Chain teams to expedite customer orders & deliveries
- Assisting continuous improvement of Sales processes
- Monitoring sales results against budget, and ensure corrective action is implemented in a proactive and assertive manner
- Identify and implement profit improvement initiatives e.g. Annual Price Reviews
**About you**
You are an experienced Assistant Account Manager with an open and personable style that enables you to effectively engage with customers across all segments. Your strategic account management skills and experience will enable you to meet the sales, financial, operational, and strategic business objectives. You will be a self-starter with the ability to operate within the business framework.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or science related discipline (preferred)
- Min 3 years' experience in Sale, inside/outside office-based sales and /or Sales support related role
- Working knowledge of Order/Delivery/Invoice systems (MS Dynamics AX preferred) & CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
- Working knowledge of the Trade Practices Act
- Exhibit drive and initiative for continuous improvement within the business
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interact & influence with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- PC Based computer skills required
- MS Office suite, Excel, order/Invoice systems.
