Are you an experienced Cyber Security Incident Analyst looking for an exciting opportunity in Melbourne's vibrant Central Business District (CBD)?
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join a dynamic team as a Cyber Security Incident Analyst. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting incident response activities and triaging security events to ensure the protection of our organization's digital assets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and analyze security events using industry-leading tools and technologies.
- Conduct incident triage and determine the severity and impact of each event.
- Investigate and respond to cyber security incidents, identifying the root cause and implementing effective countermeasures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop incident response plans and strategies.
- Provide timely updates and reports to management regarding incident response activities and security event trends.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including incident response procedures, playbooks, and post-incident reports.
- Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential security threats.
- Stay up to date with the latest cyber security trends, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience in cyber security incident support and triaging security events.
- Strong knowledge of security incident response methodologies and best practices.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
