**Rostering, reception and on call officer**

**Job Profile**:
At Greenleaf Care Services, Reception and Rostering Officers work as part of a team to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with Greenleaf Care Services' vision and values and the National Disability Insurance Scheme

Reception and Rostering Officers work business hours as well as evening on call shifts, coordinating staffing to ensure cost effective delivery of services using our large team of workers.

**Duty Statement**:

- Plan, maintain and provide fortnightly rosters for Greenleaf employees
- Work with rostering and other software to develop the schedules and maintain records
- Respond to notified absences and network with staff to fill vacant shifts
- Provide backup support to emergency on call staff phonecalls
- Follow procedures to achieve cost effective solutions to shift requirements
- Undertake a range of reception and administrative duties as required

**Requirements for Appointment**:
The successful applicant must have:

- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and high level computer skills
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A valid National Police Check (issued within 3-month period) or willing to undergo a National Police Check
- A completion certificate for NDIS Worker Orientation
- A current first aid certificate
- Understanding of, and ability to interpret and apply, the SCHADS Award provisions relating to Hours of Work.

**Selection Criteria**:
**Essential**
- Availability for weekday shifts, Wednesday to Friday and after hours on call shifts
- Experience working in the community sector and ideally with people experiencing mental illness.
- Experience using, or ability to quickly learn, rostering software
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build relationships with staff and participants based on mutual respect and trust.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a proactive and hands on attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and follow directions from the supervisor.
- A reliable, punctual and mature attitude with demonstrated ability to work with limited direct supervision.
- An understanding of the importance of personal and professional boundaries, privacy and confidentiality, ethical behaviour, policies and procedures.
- Ability to undertake a range of administrative/reception tasks and represent the Company professionally at all times.

**Desirable**
- Minimum of 6 months experience within the Industry
- Minimum 1 year work experience in mental health, disability, drug and alcohol or youth work
- Good understanding of and capacity to work with Physical and Intellectual disability
- Experience in working with highly challenging participants
- Knowledge of NDIS and SCHADS Award
