**The Role**:
The Supervisor - Port Operations will be responsible for co-ordinating, scheduling and monitoring the haulage of concentrate from the Boddington Gold Mine to the Bunbury Port and the shipping of concentrate from the Bunbury Port.

This includes assuming the statutory position of Alternate Senior Site Executive for the port facility when required and managing the operations of the concentrate shed located at the Port.

This position operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and requires the incumbent to split their time between the Port of Bunbury and Boddington mine site depending on operational needs.

**Key Tasks**:

- Co-ordinate the scheduling and safe haulage of concentrate between the mine site and the Port of Bunbury.
- Ensure compliance with Main Roads WA licence conditions to optimise the loads carried by the haulage contractor.
- Ensure compliance with the DEC requirements regarding the safe carriage of copper concentrate on public roads and thoroughfares.
- Co-ordinate the operation of the haulage contractor to ensure the copper concentrate is hauled from the mine to the port at a sufficient rate to prevent any build up of product at the mine that may interfere with production.
- Co-ordinate the various contractors involved in the day to day running of the shed.
- Ensure Newmont Boddington Gold adheres to shipping and production schedules through the co-ordination of stock levels at the Port.
- Be responsible for the safe and efficient running of the storage facility (shed) at the Port.
- Manage and coordinate the operation of ship loading from shed to ship. Liaise with NBG Marketing personnel, Port Authorities (SPA), Stevedores and Shipping Agents on scheduling of vessels and ship loading activities.
- Co-ordinate and supervise the supply of labour required during ship loading and post load clean ups.
- Co-ordinate the loading of the various ships to minimise any environmental impact caused by the product, maintaining NBG’s high level of responsibility and accountability already perceived by the public and other port users.
- As Alternate Senior Site Executive for the Port Facility with the Mines Department, ensure that the Newmont Boddington Gold port shed is run in compliance with all relevant Mines Dept regulations and requirements.

**About You**:

- Extensive experience in large scale operational and logistics management, including ship loading at port facilities and operation of automated plant.
- Previous experience in supervising a large contract workforce.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Competent operation of a 988 front end loader will be required.
- Strong administrative capabilities with high attention to detail.
- Advanced PC skills and computer literacy with respect to MS Office Suite Products.
- Experience with SAP computer system preferred.
- Tertiary qualification in a business discipline or logistics/supply chain management would be advantageous.
