**About the company**
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a
**Federal Government Agency** to engage an
**APS6 Economist and an APS6/EL1 Senior Economist**.
***This position is located in multiple difference locations as above for an initial
**6 month contract.**

**About the Position**

**Duties**
- Lead work investigating the impacts (good and bad) of water reform on regional economies, industries and communities
- Scope, commission and manage applied economic and social research projects
- Ensure the social and economic research investments support the strategic aims
- Represent the client, engage with stakeholders, and supervise junior staff.
- Synthesise diverse, complex, contentious and at times conflicting social and economic data and knowledge
- Prepare written material for internal and external audiences
- Contribute to the collection and maintenance of social and economic data holdings

**Requirements/Skills**
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated liaison, stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills including ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders
- Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
- A degree in economics, or related field.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and project planning experience
- Demonstrated ability to deliver research projects.
