The
ATLAS Indigenous Primary Care Surveillance Network team
are seeking a Data Analyst to contribute to the ongoing development, operation and reporting processes of the ATLAS data infrastructure. As the Data Analyst, you will develop and deploy an online data dashboard, delivering data visualisation to stakeholders and knowledge users.
In this role you will also independently develop and lead academic analyses of the ATLAS data, as well as contribute to the technical development of the ATLAS surveillance infrastructures expansion.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and management of the interactive data dashboard for Health Services and stakeholders.- Developing reports and dashboards based on available data from core systems and identifying opportunities for automation.- Contributing to development of analytic outputs from the ATLAS data infrastructure.- Contributing to the maintenance and improvement of the ATLAS data pipeline.- Documenting code and contributing to data dictionaries, codebooks and other administrative documentation.- Occasional travel interstate and intrastate may be required.

About You
If you feel that you meet some, but not all of the below criteria, we encourage you to reach out for a confidential discussion about your skills and experience:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Information Management, or a relevant scientific discipline, with at least four (4) years subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/ training.- Demonstrated experience in data analytics and visualisation using Python, SQL, R, and Django.- Demonstrated experience and confidence in web development tools and frameworks, including (not limited to) Django, JavaScript, and Dockers.- Demonstrated high level organisational ability and initiative including evidence of being effective in work planning, research and prioritising to meet deadlines, often with competing demands in a complex team environment.- Demonstrated high level communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
