**Who are we looking for?**
We are seeking a Library Advisor (AIRS) to join Library, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.
QUT Library seeks an enthusiastic, service-oriented person to assist with delivery of AIRS - Advanced Information Research Skills, QUT Library’s accredited unit for higher degree research (HDR) students. Your library skills will enable you to undertake tasks that support daily operations of the unit, updating learning and teaching resources, and providing advice and information to HDR students and the wider QUT community. You will use your digital skills to work with the AIRS Team to design and redevelop this unit and open education resource to meet the research training needs of QUT higher degree research students and others.

QUT Library has delivered Advanced Information Research Skills (AIRS) for more than 30 years as an accredited unit, supporting higher degree research (HDR) students to develop advanced information research skills, equipping them with the transferable skills to become capable contemporary researchers in any research context. AIRS forms part of the research skills training program offered to all QUT HDR students and researchers in blended format by the Office for Scholarly Communication..
**What you need to succeed**
1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree in the field of Library Science or Information Management.
2. Demonstrated high-level written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills, including the ability to contribute effectively in a team-based environment.
3. Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining learning and/or research support resources, specifically relevant to the blended learning environment.
4. Demonstrated digital literacy skills, including the ability to use a variety of IT systems and software packages, such as Microsoft Office 365 suite, web authoring, and digital content creation tools.
5. Highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to manage time and high-volume tasks efficiently and meet deadlines within the context of competing priorities.
6. Demonstrated high level customer service skills with the proven ability to problem solve and respond to changing client needs.
