We are looking for female support workers for our client at Goldcoast.

Immediate start

Support days required

Monday 10 am 3pm with flexible end times if required

Tuesday 10am to 3pm with flexible end times if required

Wednesday 10am to 3pm with flexible end times if required

Friday 10am to 3pm with flexible end times if required

Sunday 10am to 3pm with flexible end times if required

Information regarding client

50 year old man

Schizophrenia disorder, severe depression, severe anxiety, Acquired brain injury. Can not read but can spell.
He can talk loudly when frustrated. Works well with support workers who have experience in mental illnesses such as borderline personality disorder and multiple personality disorder. He has a dog, he doesn’t like support workers paying attention to his dog. He does vape at home and he takes it with him but there is no smell associated to this. He loves the outdoors, loves to paddle board, swimming and loves going for walks. Care workers are his only interactions, he does have a therapist who he speaks to on the phone. He has a large collection of anime figurines which he likes to sell on Ebay and will need assistance to help him list items. As client can't reading things it gives him anxiety he requires a support worker to assist him to read signs and explain information to him. When texting him he requires small text messages that are short with minimum of 3 spaces between words.

Behaviours that he can display:
Can talk loudly when frustrated

Overshares information and memories of his psychosis

He tends to offer gifts and wants to invite support workers to eat out.

He can manipulate conversations, so requires someone who can redirect his behaviours

About the worker:
Must be caolm and collected

Must have experience with mental illness, he works well with support workers who understand mental illness.

Someone who can set boundaries and redirect him and redivert any inappropriate conversations

Someone who doesn’t cancel all the time. He likes someone who is punctual

Female with no tattoos
Someone who is active and will do the activities with him. He doesn’t like it when workers just sit on the beach and watch
Someone under 30 so he doesn’t develop feelings for them.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 10 per week

**Benefits**:

- Travel reimbursement

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Licence/Certification:

- First aid and CPR (preferred)
