**About the role**

We are seeking a highly motivated, friendly, welcoming person to work in our school’s reception. It is essential for the successful applicant to have experience in various office administrations and associated technical skills, and must demonstrate that they show initiative, are highly organised, self-directed and discrete. It is vital that the successful applicant can work positively in a highly dynamic and collaborative work environment.

**Typical Duties Include**:

- Reception - telephone and front counter enquiries
- Medical support to students as required - (including day to day procedures associated with children with diabetes)
- Word processing, record-keeping and student data entry
- Events organising assistance
- Assisting with implementation of school-wide processes
- Provide administrative support to the school leadership team
- Driving our school’s social media presence and advertising

**Selection Criteria**
- Have a strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of our school
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise with a wide range of staff, parents and students
- Proven ability to work enthusiastically and willingly as an effective team member, or independently as required; meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality and establish work priorities
- Proven ability to work in a busy school office
- Completion of Certificate III Administration or equivalent qualifications relevant to the position
- Demonstrable ability in clerical and administrative functions and computer skills, including entry to various databases
- Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of administrative procedures, processes and functions of a Catholic School
- Proven commitment to life-long learning by attending professional development
- Awareness of the principles and practices of employment equity, ethical conduct and workplace health and safety
