**JOB VACANCIES AT FOCUS**
Focus Language School is seeking experienced and talented ELICOS teachers to deliver multiple courses for different student cohorts in 2023. We are currently hiring for the following positions:

- GE and EAP ELICOS Teacher
- High School Preparation (HSP) ELICOS Teacher
- Program Coordinator for HSP Course

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- **For all teaching positions**:_
- Experience of working in an ELICOS CRICOS environment;
- A degree or diploma of at least three years full-time or equivalent (teaching or other);
- A suitable TESOL qualification or qualification that contains TESOL as a method;
- Appropriate TESOL teaching experience or be formally mentored by a senior staff member with this experience;
- **For program coordinator role**:_
- Exceptional Analytical skills such as critical thinking and problem solving;
- Excellent time-management, research and other organisational skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and efficient
- Knowledge of program management and development procedures
- Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams；
- Cross cultural communication skills and cultural awareness

**DESIRABLE SKILLS**
- VIT registration or equivalent;
- Current and relevant industry experience working within CRICOS ELICOS provider;
- Work experiences in Australian schools;
- 5 years experience in a general business environment;
- Cultural intelligence in business environment;
- Experiences in pastoral care and student support;
- Good IT skills and digital literacy experience.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

As an **ELICOS Teacher**, your key responsibilities will include teaching, delivery, assessment of student work and reporting results. Additional tasks include but are not limited to:

- Preparation of lessons and learning resources as required;
- Delivery of English training and assessment to overseas students;
- Conduct and record student assessments;
- Monitor learner and assessment process and provide student learning support;
- Formal reporting of student results at the end of each session;
- Participate in moderation and quality control workshops if required;
- Provide maintenance of all aspects of compliance relating to areas of responsibility;
- Maintain continuing professional development in the area of teaching English for non-English speaking students training, curriculum and the related and moderation processes activities;
- Analysing LLN requirements of students (for HSP Teacher only);
- Participating in extracurricular activities as required;
- Flexibility with the class timings.
- Supporting the planning and successful delivery of HSP related programs and their activities;
- Ensuring the implementation of policies and procedures;
- Monitoring project budget and tracking expenditures/transactions;
- Communicating with staff and external parties through the whole program cycle;
- Helping to maintain good relationships within the team and external parties;
- Scheduling meetings and events;
- Keeping updated records and databases;
- Creating reports, presentations and proposals;
- Support the Business Development Team as required and attend presentations and meetings with external stakeholders when necessary.
