This integral role is responsible for partnering with and providing expert financial sustainability and organisational performance advice and support to the University's senior-most decision makers.

In this role you will;
- Cultivate professional advisory relationships with University executives, and managers, providing trustworthy and impactful financial guidance.
- Provide authoritative advice on complex finance and accounting issues and requirements.
- Develop and execute integrated finance strategies and plans for Griffith University, aiming for continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities and drive initiatives to enhance financial performance and efficiency.
- Develop Griffith University's finance capability through leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
- Implement finance governance processes and ensure alignment with legislation, policies, and values to maintain efficient work practices.
- Manage financial risks and lead audit activities to maintain adherence to compliance and quality requirements.

**Qualifications**
To be successful, you will possess:

- Degree qualified with substantial work-related experience. You will also hold a professional accounting qualification through an accredited body (CPA/CA).
- Specialist expertise and experience in resource and financial management and in the development of strategic, business and operational plans relevant to the organisation's objectives, activities and functions.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, including high level modelling and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesise financial and non-financial information and develop decision support models.
- Capability, knowledge and experience with corporate financial, human resource, reporting and administrative information systems, particularly complex ERP and BI systems.

**What we can offer**
This is a continuing, full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan or Gold Coast campuses. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

**Salary range**
The base salary will be HEW Level 10 $136,032 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be $159,158 per annum.
