It’s an exciting time to join **Ventia** We continue to be in constant growth phase due to the success with our customers and therefore are seeking a Lead Bid Manager within our **Telecommunications **to lead an experienced bid team managing opportunities throughout the sales lifecycle, from tender kick off through to contract award.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to lead a team of talented Bid Managers, driving our success in the highly competitive telecommunications industry. We offer a dynamic and supporting work environment that values innovation, creativity, and collaboration.

The successful applicant will be a strategic thinker heavily involved with the development and finalisation of win strategies and preparing client value propositions in partnership with the Business Development Team. In addition, strong capability in managing multiple complex bids with an ability and confidence to present to senior levels is a must.

**The Lead Bid Manager will also be responsible as**
- Provide professional & technical guidance and direction to bid team members on tenders and proposals. Act as a point of escalation for the resolution of bid issues within the bid team and where applicable with other streams within the Commercial and Pre-Contracts group.
- Facilitate the establishment and implementation of a winning bid strategy and value for money solutions, driving the development and formation of unique and compelling value propositions.
- Ensure adherence and compliance to internal governance and gate approval requirements to progress tenders and opportunities through the sales phase
- In consultation with the GM of Pre-Contracts and Commercial establish the bid resources commitment and budget necessary for the bid.
- Effectively plan, programme and manage the preparation of bids, assurance and approvals that are assigned to the role in accordance with Ventia policies and procedures, ensuring bids are submitted on time.
- Engage and communicate that strategy to the bid team and overview the execution of that strategy throughout the tender process.
- Establish client requirements and translate into bid plan, timeline and writing plan.
- Assign and monitor tender team tasks and deadlines.
- Manage client interfaces and tender documentation.
- Coordinate the estimate, risk management, commercial review, and methodology and programme to ensure consistency and alignment with the written submission and the bid strategy.
- Ensure external quotations are sourced and managed in accordance with the system, including RFQ documentation and accompanying Commercial Terms.
- Participation in business planning, tender success analysis and the evolution of business improvement, tendering and estimating procedures.

**About You**
You will have relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience ideally within the Telecommunications / Construction industry or similar accompanied with:

- A proven track record of successfully leading large (+$100M) proposals in a service delivery and/or construction environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of capture management / tendering processes and the interplay between contracts, operations and commercial outcomes.**What We Offer You**
