**About The Opportunity**
Nepean Hospital is recruiting for Security Officers to complement and enhance the current Security Department.

Security staff work as part of a team, in collaboration with other staff, to assist with managing patients, to provide assistance to visitors, and to assist with protecting staff and securing the assets of Nepean Hospital.

The emphasis of the role in NSW Health is on assisting with the early identification, prevention and management of incidents. The Security staff provide a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors according to work health and safety legislation.

It is expected that security staff provide the highest possible standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.

**Selection criteria to be addressed**:

- Certificate 2 in Security Operations
- Effective experience working in a similar role
- Demonstrated effective communications skills with the ability to handle a variety of difficult situations
- Must be able to effectively work independently and as part of a team
- Practical knowledge of security equipment including CCTV operations and access control systems
