**What you'll be doing**:
An exciting permanent full time opportunity is available to join the Security Services team as a Security Officer located at Nepean Hospital.

Your role as the Security Officer is to maintain a safe environment for staff, volunteers, contractors, patients and visitors.

This imperative community position conducts security patrols of the building and grounds of the NBMLHD facility as well as escort staff and visitors as necessary; deny entry to persons without authority to enter.

The Security Officer will assist with management of aggressive and/or difficult people to ensure a safe and secure environment.

An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.

**Selection criteria to be addressed**:

- Certificate 2 in Security Operations
- Effective experience working in a similar role
- Demonstrated effective communications skills with the ability to handle a variety of difficult situations
- Must be able to effectively work independently and as part of a team
- Practical knowledge of security equipment including CCTV operations and access control systems
