We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join a reputable organisation as a
**Team Leader - Foster Care.**

This position will be based in South Sydney.

As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of services to children, young people, carers and parents while maximising client outcomes and meeting organisational objectives. You will lead a team, supporting and guiding them to provide exceptional service in line with funding and compliance requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team to ensure that services are provided to clients in a manner that maximises client outcomes and meets organisational, portfolio, service, funding, and external compliance objectives.
- Support team members in understanding the organisation's vision, values, and direction and translate them into everyday practice.
- Work with the Manager to ensure the team's operations are commercially effective and sustainable, identifying opportunities for process improvement and more efficient working methods.
- Assist team members in understanding and achieving performance expectations, building their capability, providing regular recognition, developing talent, and enhancing client outcomes and employee engagement.
- Evaluate the quality of service delivery, client plans, and outcomes against objectives regularly, identifying gaps and working with the team to build capability and improve service design.
- Identify learning needs within the team and facilitate appropriate learning opportunities, both within and outside the organisation, in collaboration with the Manager and learning and development team.
- Collaborate with staff, clients, and stakeholders to resolve concerns effectively.
- Manage performance processes, including time and attendance, leave, learning, and injuries, in conjunction with Head Office specialists and the Manager when required.
- Support the Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the program, including providing relief during the Manager's absence.
- Foster effective relationships and networks with relevant community partners, referral agencies, and community groups, attending networking meetings and forums as requested by the Manager.
- Comply with mandatory reporting requirements applicable to the service and the Manager.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in a human services-related discipline
- Previous experience in a leadership role. This experience must be in Child Protection or Foster Care.
- Strong understanding of Child Protection legislation and the Permanency Support Program Framework.
- Strong knowledge of service delivery, funding, compliance, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and improve service quality and outcomes.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of learning and development principles and experience in facilitating training is desirable.

**Certification and Licenses**:

- Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident
- Full NSW Drivers License
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Check
- Willingness to undergo National Criminal History Check
- Two professional references from current and previous supervisors
- Proof of vaccination or exemption from vaccination against COVID-19
