**The Opportunity**:
Due to an internal promotion, Minda’s Quality & Governance team has an exciting opportunity for an Authorised Program Officer (APO) to assist with authorising restrictive practices, and to provide guidance on restrictive practices, ensuring legislative compliance.

**Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Senior APO, the Authorised Program Officer will do the following:

- Work in accordance with legislative requirements to authorise regulated restrictive practices with the aim of reducing or eliminating their use where possible.
- Work with stakeholders to facilitate compliance reporting of restrictive practices.
- Engage stakeholders and provide advice to ensure best practice approaches are maintained.
- Enter, manage, and review participant data and assessment decisions for the authorisation of restrictive practices in the DHS Restrictive Practice System (RPS).
- Design educational materials and Quality and Safeguards documentation such as work instructions, and APO assessment tools.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of positive behaviour support plans.
- Knowledge of NDIS mandatory reporting requirements, and a sound understanding of restricted practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills to form effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide advice and training in restrictive practice use.
- Organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated understanding of compliance reporting as required by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and State and Commonwealth government bodies/ departments.
- Tertiary qualification relevant to the role.

**Other**:

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Current and unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Evidence of full vaccination against Covid-19 (2+ booster)
