**_Your Key Accountabilities
The capability requirements for this role include:
Support the Principal Privacy Officer in the delivery of the privacy program of work and the promotion of a proactive privacy culture in the QPS.
Investigate and prepare responses to information privacy enquiries, breaches and complaints relating to the QPS' handling of personal information under the Information Privacy Act 2009.
Research complex legal and policy issues associated with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and other legislation relevant to the operations of the QPS.
Foster relationships with key internal and external privacy stakeholders, including the Office of the Information Commissioner.
Contribute to the development and delivery of QPS privacy related training, guidance, standards, and policies.
Prepare reports, briefing notes, submissions, and departmental and other correspondence on QPS privacy issues, including the preparation of privacy impact assessments, in accordance with QPS requirements.
Provide high quality advice and assistance to QPS staff and members of the public on QPS information privacy policy, practices, and procedures.
Role Requirements
Technical/ Operational/ Educational Experience:
Previous experience in privacy or information release while not mandatory is highly desirable.
Other:
