**Role**:
The ICT Network Support Officer assists in the management of the School¿s ICT infrastructure to ensure effective and responsive delivery for all ICT related services. This position will assist in the maintenance of the School¿s ICT related software, hardware, devices and services in the spirit of continuous improvement, ensuring the ICT provisions to the School Community optimally fulfill its vision. This position also has direct responsibility for the architecture of the Schools website and coordination of stakeholders to ensure content is developed and maintained The ICT Network Support Officer is responsible for
the day-to-day support and monitoring of the ICT network whilst regularly consulting with the Principal.
The ICT Network Support Officer act as one of the first points of contact for ICT enquiries from staff, students and external entities. This position performs a vital support role in the implementation of ICT services delivered to the school community. Consistency is vital in all aspects of this role as thedissemination of consistent, accurate information is essential.
A position at this level is distinguished by the introduction of management responsibility and accountability for the delivery of professional support services. The role will usually impact beyond the work area or professional field. It seeks to gain cooperation of other staff members or members of the school ommunity to achieve specific objectives, such as in school administration, operations or educational programs. Direction on targets and goals is provided but the position will have some degree of latitude in determining how they are achieved. This latitude will generally be limited by standard procedures and school policy. Deviation from standard procedures and school policy will require guidance and direction from senior management.
Prepare management plans in regard to the technical support provided
Manage the flow of information to staff and students to ensure appropriate awareness of technical operations and safety
Advise teachers and students on aspects of information technology and use in the school
Investigate and report on the efficiency and effectiveness of system design
Conduct training and instruction to school colleagues within the technical field
Regularly interact with a range of external or internal clients to provide advice or specialist information.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conducts routine technical procedures and/or data collection, collation, and analysis
- Applies basic technical knowledge to diagnose and correct faults and problems with technical equipment
- Applies basic technical principles to enable the performance of a variety of interrelated technical tasks
- Contributes to a small project team providing technical support to a school/s
- Conducts training and/or instruction with respect to technical systems
