The role will see you as a key component of the relationship between two important Tasmanian institutions. Working within the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) - South, based around the State’s tertiary referral centre, Royal Hobart Hospital - you will work within the Physiotherapy leadership team to build capacity and capability within the workforce, to provide enriching professional experience placements for the students of the University of Tasmania Master of Physiotherapy degree. Your practical and academic experiences will inform your program development initiatives and empower our emerging professionals. Your on-the-ground experiences and connection to the clinical and academic staff will help guide the refinement of the course curriculum to ensure our students are being equipped with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the contemporary healthcare setting. Through it all, you will work with a vibrant mix of locals and new Tasmanian adventurers who are all here to make a difference for the people of our state.

**The Role**:

- Lead the planning, design, implementation and evaluation of pre-entry student placement activities based in the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) and associated learning activities. Ensure required documentation is current and complete such as the Placement Deed, Placement Order and that Department of Health (DoH) placement pre-requisites are met. Ensure students are appropriately inducted to the Department of Health (DoH) workplace and that placement supervisors have completed all placement documentation and assessments at the end of each placement and submitted to University of Tasmania (UTas).
- Build capacity for the allied health service in the Department of Health (DoH) to provide pre-entry student placements through increasing capability, confidence, skill and knowledge in student placement supervisors via clinical leadership, mentoring, supervision and working with the School of Health Sciences academic team and other UTas stakeholders to provide and/or organise professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with key DoH and UTas stakeholders to investigate the feasibility of establishing student-assisted multidisciplinary clinics in Tasmania.
